Anne Thomas Panicker is a Research Assistant at the None in Three Research Centre, India. She is a Political Science graduate from St. Xavier’s College, Mumbai. Thereafter she pursued her legal studies at Government Law College, Mumbai, and completed her course in 2014. She recently (2020) completed her Master’s in Business Administration (Social Entrepreneurship) from Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies, Mumbai.
Anne’s work previously entailed defending children who were in the criminal justice system. She has also worked for ensuring the sexual and reproductive health rights of women and has been part of fact findings like access to abortion pills for unwanted pregnancies, and has filed successful applications for compensation under schemes for survivors of acid attacks, etc. While at Law School, Anne volunteered as an information technology teacher at a school for children with hearing impairment.
Her keen interest in history and love for Mumbai also led her to co-ordinate the Heritage walks section of the famous Kala Ghoda Arts Festival for six years.
