Karmishtha Krishna is currently studying in her foundation year of design at the Indian School of Design and Innovation in Mumbai. Being born and brought up in a medical background, art and poetry was her unique way to express herself. At the same time, the science genes in her make her love mathematics and coding. She hopes that by pursuing design as a career, she can bridge the gap between these so-called extremes of the world – practicality and creativity.
She considers herself extremely lucky to have gotten the opportunity to visit over twenty different countries. The diverse culture, environment and wildlife she has experienced in each of these inspire her to create art revolving around it. An outspoken and an extremely ambitious person by nature, she aspires to settle down in an ice mansion in Antarctica. In her free time, she excels at bathroom singing and procrastinating. Photography, painting, teaching and observing reptiles and insects, are the other things she often tries her hand at. New to the city of dreams, Mumbai, she tries to observe and explore new aspects of it every day and imbibe it into her work.
