The Design, Innovation and Creativity-led Entrepreneurship (DICE) Ecosystem inaugurated its founding batch of under- and postgraduate studies in July 2013 through one of its three schools ISDI, committing to a new educational model, inspired by the idea of design and innovation as transformative forces in society.
At DICE, we believe: disciplines of design and innovation play a significant role in addressing issues of economic development and social improvement. These challenges take on a special urgency in India, where a growing population and a rapidly evolving society crucially needs a strong design intervention.
It is this deep social ethos which naturally found synergies with the None in Three Research Centre. When DICE was recommended as a potential partner to Professor Adele Jones in late October 2017, and Dr. Indu Shahani was approached for it, she instinctively knew that it was a relevant and current topic in a growing India. Her vision of enabling the youth with tools for Social Improvement naturally combines with the objectives of the None in Three Research Centre, providing it with an added push in the Indian context.
With Dr. Shahani’s support and guidance, DICE intends to improve the visibility of Gender Based Violence in India by utilising all relevant media – print, audio and video. DICE’s ultimate objective through participation in None in Three is to enable a safer society for women and young girl children in India – where they are allowed equal access to education and progress – without any discrimination.
