Rasheed Perry, a proud graduate of the University of Technology, Jamaica and The Calabar High School currently serves as an Assistant Lecturer within the School of Allied Health and Wellness in the College of Health Sciences at the University of Technology Jamaica. He recently completed his Bachelor’s degree in Dietetics and Nutrition (Hons) and is currently pursuing the Masters of Science in Public Health Nutrition in the School of Allied Health and Wellness at the University of Technology, Jamaica. His mantra is rooted in his high school motto “The Utmost for the Highest” of which he applies to all aspects of his life. He is currently involved in medicinal cannabis research and characterization of the plants based on their chemical profile. His passion for research has led him to the path of incorporating cannabis within the public health sphere as a potential treatment option in disease prevention. In his spare time, he loves to play video games, reading fictional novels, meeting new people and relaxing on the beach.
