An alumnus of the Faculty of Law, University of The West Indies, Madam Justice Cornelius also holds a Masters Degree in Commercial Law from Cambridge University in the UK. Her background includes many years as an Attorney-at-law in Chambers in both the UK and Barbados, Lecturer in Law in the Faculty of Law at UWI, Cave Hill and membership of the Board of the Central Bank of Barbados. She is a longstanding member of the Council of the Barbados Bar Association and is Vice President of the Caribbean Association of Women Judges. Since her appointment as a High Court Judge in 2006, she has worked assiduously towards reducing gender and class inequities in legislative regimes. http://www.cawj.org/
