Dr. Alex Gallo has been employed at the Universidade Estadual de Londrina since 2009 and is presently an Associate Professor in General Psychology and Behavior Analysis, Department of Centre of Biological Sciences. He has an MSc in Special Education and a PhD in Special Education from Universidade Federal de São Carlos.
Dr. Gallo has, since 2011, been a permanent adviser for masters and doctoral students in the Behavior Analysis Postgraduate Program. This course has a verified course sequence, approved by the Association for Behavior Analysis International, for those who want to apply for a Behavior Analyst Certification.
As an academic, his research interests lie in violence prevention, working in Intimate Partner Violence; violence against gay and transsexual people; and young offenders. He is a full member of the Brazilian Psychological Society (SBP), a member of the Brazilian Behavior Analysis Association (ACBr) – a Brazilian Chapter of Association for Behavior Analysis International (ABAI), having worked as Scientific Secretary from 2018-2020.
