Roslyn Cumming is Operations Director for the Ni3 Research Centre, based in Huddersfield. Roz brings a wide range of experience in managing projects and teams, both within higher education and across the commercial, public and third sectors. This has included working in advertising on brands ranging from Nissan to the Big Issue, managing a £12m digital cinema initiative for the UK Film Council in London, and running a division of national road safety charity, Brake. Most recently she was School Manager of the law school at the University of Sheffield.
As Operations Director, Roz is responsible for leading and overseeing all aspects of the management and successful delivery of the Centre’s work across all projects. She works closely with the Centre Director and project Principal Investigators in the strategic leadership of the Centre, supporting them in intellectual leadership, external representation, impact, and sustainability activities. She also works with country and Work Package leads, the Centre Administrator, University finance and administrative staff, to develop and implement plans for the delivery of all Ni3 activities and outputs in line with objectives, budgets, legal and ethical requirements and agreed timescales. She has responsibility for financial and personnel management and developing and maintaining effective relationships with funders and collaborative research partners.
Roz is also Co-Lead for the Work Package relating to impact, knowledge dissemination and engagement on the Ni3 GCRF project.
