Dr. Anna Powell is a Researcher and Lecturer in Art and Design Theory at the University of Huddersfield. Anna worked in the School of Fine Art, History of Art and Cultural Studies at the University of Leeds from 2008-12, providing lecture and seminar support across core modules and elective modules. Anna has been commissioned to work on various projects for Leeds Art Gallery, working with artists to develop workshops for the public, and has supported numerous collaborative arts projects for events including The Big Draw, Light Night, Black History Month and Archives Awareness Month. She joined the University of Huddersfield in 2012 as Research Assistant in Contemporary Art, where her primary role was to support the development of Impact Case Studies for the School’s Research Excellence Framework (REF) 2014 submission.
As Co-Lead for Work Package 7 (impact, dissemination and engagement activities) on the Ni3 GCRF project, Anna has primary responsibility for academic outputs relating to WP7 and for developing an Impact Case Study for the REF 2020 submission.
