On the 24th & 25th June 2021 young members of the Ni3 team from each of our GCRF study countries (India, Jamaica, Uganda and the UK) came together to deliver Play. Talk. Change. (PTC), a two-day, youth-led conference focusing on the creation of prosocial computer games as a tool to tackle the global crisis of gender-based violence.
We were delighted to welcome high profile speakers to PTC from the worlds of research and gaming; to showcase videos exploring the game development process; to give updates on the progress of each of our prosocial games; and to host an international panel of young game developers, programmers, activists and change-makers.
PTC attracted a truly diverse and international audience, with delegates joining us virtually from each of our study countries and beyond. Despite the challenges of having to work around time differences we achieved a fantastic attendance on both days and have received overwhelmingly positive feedback on the event from all who were able to join us.
If you were not able to attend Play. Talk. Change. recordings of all sessions are available to stream immediately on the event website.
