Dr. Eugenia Katartzi is a Senior Lecturer in Childhood, Youth and Education Studies at the University of Huddersfield. She previously held teaching and research posts at the Universities of Leeds, Bath and Edinburgh. Eugenia has multidisciplinary expertise in the study of childhood, youth and education, and more specifically in the (re)construction of children and young people’s intersecting identities in conditions of increasing diversity, migration and displacement. Her research interests are located at the psychosocial study of children and young people’s lives as these are shaped by ethnic, classed and gendered inequalities. In being committed to the advancement of child and youth-focused research she has authored publications in the journals Childhood; Children and Society; Young; International Studies in Sociology of Education. Her role in the Ni3 Centre will be to work with Professor Paul Miller in the achievement of WP5 objectives for the UK study.
