None in Three India Hold Virtual Closing Conference
None in Three Research Centre (Ni3), India held an End of Project Virtual conference titled Preventing Gender Bias and Gender-based Violence : Discovering Possibilities on 24th September 2021. The goal was to bring together partners who believed in the collective mission of preventing gender-based violence (GBV) and discuss the way forward.
A keynote address was given by Dr Nadia Wager, providing an introduction to Ni3’s vision and mission. Ni3 India Research Fellow, Rukmini Banerjee, provided a review of the team’s research findings, and a panel discussion was held looking at the impact of our work in India. Sessions also included discussion with stakeholders on policy and research implications, design outputs of our work, and a concluding note by Professor Adele Jones. The team’s intention was to ensure that at the project’s culmination, all those who were a part of the journey were called to share their insights and experiences.
A full write up of the event is available on our India Resources page. The India Media Gathering Team also shared a fantastic video retrospective of the team’s four year journey – take a look at the link to the right, where you’ll also find a short ‘legacy film’ produced by the Centre, focusing on Ni3 India as part of the overarching Global Challenges Research Fund Ni3 Project.
A recording of the full conference is available on the None in Three Youtube channel.
