None in Three Hold First Annual Conference
We recently held our first ever annual conference. This was a fantastic event, bringing together both academic and technical staff from across all four of our GCRF study countries, as well as welcoming colleagues from Ni3 Brazil to their first cross-centre event. Sessions were held online from Monday to Friday and we were delighted to welcome both delegates and speakers from all across the global Ni3 family.
Our week started with two days of pre-conference workshops, aimed at early career researchers and recent graduates, and intended to highlight some key skills that are essential for our researchers in carrying out their work. These sessions covered research ethics, writing research proposals, cultural competence and general ‘top tips’ for researchers. We were delighted with both the attendance at these sessions and with the feedback that we received from attendees. Although it wasn’t possible to cover everything in such short sessions, we were pleased to be able to offer a useful introduction on these important topics.
Our main conference sessions ran from Wednesday to Friday and we were delighted to be able to include representatives from across all areas of the work of None in Three. Our lively and engaging programme included over 20 sessions across the three days and gave our delegates a real taste for the work of the Centre through short, insightful sessions exploring key areas of our groundbreaking research into gender-based violence. Taken together these conference sessions provided a great oversight of the globally pioneering work of None in Three.
If you were unable to attend the conference we have made all of our sessions and/or session presentations available via our website.
