None in Three was delighted to be invited to join over forty other global organisations from Africa, Europe, Latin America, South Asia and Southeast Asia, at a two-day networking forum organised by End Violence Against Children (EVAC) partnership.
The EVAC forum took place in Brussels on the 30th and 31st of May 2022 and was attended by fellow grantees of EVAC funding, as well as representatives from the technology industry, frontline practitioners, activists and doners. Organisations represented included: Tech Coalition, INTERPOL, Save the Children, UNICEF and the World Health Organization amongst many others.
EVAC has committed over $68M on global, regional and national projects around the world; with None in Three’s ‘Emilio’ project being one of these.
None in Three Operations Manager, Vikki Hart attended the event and she observes,
“The forum was a great opportunity to meet and talk to other professionals with a passion for keeping children safe online and demonstrated the power and positivity for action that can arise from like-minded organisations coming together rather than working in silos.
At the event, I heard from a number of speakers and there were many rich conversations over the two days, around research data, technological developments and proposals for change which address the harm which arises from child sexual abuse materials (CSAM).
It was exciting to have the opportunity to be able to share with the other delegates, details about None in Three’s work on the ‘Emilio’ computer game, which is being developed in collaboration with our partners in Brazil. It received great interest, with many delegates that I presented to, being enthusiastic to find out more about the Centre’s work”.
Natalie Shoup, Grant Portfolio Specialist for the End Violence partnership comments,
“End Violence Safe Online is proud to support and continue to learn from None in Three’s ground-breaking work in developing the immersive computer game Emilio as a tool to change the attitudes and behaviour of young people in Brazil. We were honoured to be able to bring our community together at the End Violence event in Brussels. It was a unique opportunity for over 40 global organizations and diverse donors and technology companies to find out more about the impactful work None in Three is doing”.
