Professor Jones was Professor of Social Work at the University of Huddersfield, a position she held until her retirement in 2021. She is the creator and Director of the EU-funded (€400,000) None in Three Project in Barbados and Grenada which laid the foundations for the establishment of the global Ni3 Research Centre. Adele was the Principal Investigator on the GCRF project.

Ni3 Open Executive Group Meeting

School Based Social Work Project – Uganda

The school based social work project has been a huge success for the Ni3 team in Uganda. It has allowed student social workers to provide much needed guidance to school pupils on a range of issues. James Thomas Ssenfuuma is the coordinator of this highly successful project.

Dr Karpenko-Seccombe is a Lecturer in English for Academic Purposes at the University of Huddersfield’s Research and Enterprise Department. Dr Kenisha Nelson is a full-time lecturer in the Faculty of Education and Liberal Studies (FELS) at the University of Technology, Jamaica where she teaches psychology related courses. In this session, they speak about their collaboration on a corpus research project.

White Rose Policy Forum – Reflections

Gill Kirkman is the UK Country Director for None in Three. The White Rose Policy Forum was a highly successful, public event, exploring the lived reality of women experiencing intimate partner violence, as revealed by our research in the UK. The forum attracted interest from local and national government representatives and West Yorkshire police, among others.

Professor Clisby FRSA is Professor of Gender Studies within the Centre for Global Learning: Education and Attainment at Coventry University and Co-Director of the UKRI GCRF GlobalGRACE Project (Goldsmiths, University of London). She is a member of the Ni3 International Advisory Group. This session looks at the importance of taking a global perspective in meeting the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals.

Ni3 Brazil Emilio: Challenging Youth-Perpetrated Sexual Offences – The Journey So Far

Dr. Alex Gallo has been employed at the Universidade Estadual de Londrina since 2009 and is presently an Associate Professor in General Psychology and Behavior Analysis, Department of Centre of Biological Sciences. Since January 2021 he has been the Country Director for Ni3 in Brazil, working on the Emilio Project. This project is looking at online child sexual abuse and exploitation in Brazil. We will be developing a prosocial game to address this serious issue.

Mikael Barfod had his main career in the external service of the EU, eventually as EU Ambassador. After retirement from the EU, he returned to his native Denmark in 2017, where he is currently lecturing and active in numerous political organisations dealing with human rights, international and EU issues.
